Magnificent still life
Especially in the 16th and 17th century, still life painting was a popular genre and apart from its decorative and representative purposes it also served for the symbolic mediation of messages. The motif follows this artistic trend by representing an opulent meal in a grand ambiance. The red lobster in the middle of the painting, framed by heavy curtains and a precious golden carafe, underligns the exclusivity of this feast. A feast for the eyes in the style of the old masters for hobby painting.
The Picture format and painting template:
“MASTERPIECE Triptych”. A triptych is a picture composed of three individual paintings. The picture in the center is sized 40 x 50 cm, the pictures on the left and right side are sized 20 x 50 cm. The painting templates have a visible and palpable canvas structure. Due to this feature, the finished painting’s appearance is not only essentially enhanced but it also emphasizes the artistic character of the paintings by supporting the desired “oil on canvas” effect.
